Canon Printer Black not Printing
The print head nozzles, which become clogged when the printer is not printing black ink, are the most likely culprits when the printer fails to print black ink. If the black ink runs out or the blank ink cartridge becomes clogged, the printer might also cease printing black.
Cleaning the nozzles and performing simple troubleshooting once you’ve read this instructions should help you get the black ink working again.
Follow the steps listed below to start cleaning:
- Turn the printer on.
- Verify that the tray contains at least 5 A4-sized papers.
- Slide open the output tray extension and the paper output tray.
- On the printer’s control panel, click Setup to begin the cleaning procedure. Press the tools/wrench symbol to select setup.
- Locate and choose the Maintenance Menu with the arrow keys, then press OK to access it.
- Click “Deep Cleaning” and then click OK.
- Select YES to confirm your choice, then click the OK button. Cleaning will start after this; don’t do anything else until cleaning is complete. Usually, it takes three minutes.
- Press OK when you see the pattern print confirmation on the screen.
